Biography

Christy is an artist and illustrator best known for her whimsy and sarcastic style. For over 10 years, she has been creating colorful pieces that help bridge the gap between fantasy and the real world. Her passion is combining bright colors with dark and creepy objects.

Christy loves nature, animals, and her taste in music spans over many decades. She is a firm believer in you can never get enough of The Hobbit, LOTR, Harry Potter, and just about anything by Tim Burton.

Christy has illustrated children’s books, designed logos, edited marketing graphics, and an assortment of other creative projects before finally resting into the sassy and spicy world of sarcastic cartoons and illustrations.

Artist Statement:

The work I create is inspired by the fact that some things in life make me angry and I’m tired of sitting back and doing nothing. I don’t like politics, I don’t like drama, and I don’t like watching the world around me go down the drain. As a person that has struggled with trying to figure out how to survive what feels like constant internal emotional warfare for more years than I want to admit - drawing and painting have been a lifeline. Recently I have started channeling my anger and frustration into sarcastic illustrations and sassy cartoons. The weight of the world feels so heavy anymore and creating my art with sarcasm has helped me feel like I’m taking some of my power back. And it has allowed me a direct connection to other people who feel the weight of the world as well.
